Rehash
Well, I am going to have to bring a past blog post to the forefront of your mind.
If you ever read my very short and very pointless blog post from 7/28/10, then this one will seem very similar...and it may be equally as short and pointless.
In that aforementioned blog post, I hounded pretty hard on marathons and people running them. Well, now I may have to eat my words a little bit…BUT let me explain.
Viewpoint #1.
The reason I disliked (and still do) marathons was that it was (and still is) a fad. If anyone knows me at all, you would know that I hate going along with the fads. Not necessarily for the point of being ‘different’ or standing out…but probably because of the fact that I’m called to stand apart in my spiritual life, and I think that translates over into other aspects of my life as well.
(Note: Stand apart..not stand out…set aside...not attention-centered)
I feel called to NOT follow the crowd. That and, well, I just don’t like doing what everyone else does!! :) This is also a reason why it took me SO long to get on Twitter or why I’m hesitant to start using Google+ or why it irks me that MY passions in life have been recently becoming popular and I don’t see an end to that pattern….
Ok, back on topic…marathons for about the past year have been wildly fashionable and trendy; I can completely understand if you are using this event to get yourself in shape! Or if you really just DO enjoy these. BUT there’s so many people who are doing them just to hop on the bandwagon... THAT’S the part I dislike.

I really do find running objectionable. It’s [generally] not pleasant. Marathons just aren't 'my thing'.
Ok! So now that I’ve explained a little further about my past comments on marathons, here’s the part where I have to eat my words.
I have quite a few of my own reasons for doing this and let me assure you that those reasons do NOT include participating because it’s popular! At all.
It’s not something I’m particularly going to be proud of, it’s not something to keep everyone in my life updated on, it’s not something I’ll be able to check off my bucket list because it’s not on my bucket list in the first place; it’s just…an event. That is going to take place.
There. I said it.
*Gasp!*
The next thing that relates to 7/28/10 blog post is that I went sky diving.
Again!!
I took my brother, as a present to him, and I think he loved it as well!
I must have had fun the first time around with my best friend if I decided to repeat this activity with my brother. Precious memories with precious people in my life!
I guess you’ll want any updates on the third subject of my 7/28/11 post—eating.
I have no updates for you on that. I still can’t eat gross things.

I am, in fact, participating in a marathon this fall.
Well, a half-marathon.
I have quite a few of my own reasons for doing this and let me assure you that those reasons do NOT include participating because it’s popular! At all.

Ok! I have now rehashed the subjects and my previous blog post. Maybe I'll come back to them all again one day.
Have a blessed day, all!

is the race for charity? or to benefit a good organization? if so (and if not really) we can claim that it is to help other people.
